⛓️ Seeking Yield by Staked - Issue #33
✔️ RAY MetaMask Authentication, ⚛️ Upcoming Cosmos Hub 3 Launch, 🧪 Coda Testnet Progress, 🔬 DeFi Evaluation Framework, & 📊 Current Staking and Lending Yields
This is the thirty-third issue of Seeking Yield by Staked, a weekly update about the most interesting things happening in crypto asset staking and lending.
✔️ RAY MetaMask Authentication
In case you missed it, last week we introduced the Robo-Advisor for Yield (RAY), a set of smart contracts that automatically allocate crypto assets to the highest yielding opportunities. RAY is the easiest way for a holder of ETH, DAI or USDC to earn the highest yield available across yield-generating DeFi opportunities.
Today, we updated our UI to make it easier to view and modify RAY tokens. Users no longer need to sign up or be logged in to a Staked account to view and modify RAY tokens. No Staked account? No problem. Check it out! 👇
We greatly appreciate the support and feedback we have received from the community!

⚛️ Upcoming Cosmos Hub 3 Launch
Following a governance proposal from September 5, 2019 to initiate a Cosmos Hub upgrade, the Cosmos community has voted to upgrade the Cosmos Hub with a number of improvements and features that the SDK development team has been working on.
We are now just four days away from the first major Cosmos Hub upgrade. Wow!
A look into the specific changes that were made since the Cosmos SDK v0.32 release line can be found in the July Development Update.
We are proud to support Cosmos and look forward to a smooth upgrade!

🧪 Coda Testnet Progress
Over the past eight weeks, Coda has seen substantial progress during it’s testnet. In the most recent testnet challenge, Coda users were encouraged to participate in two categories of competition during two one hour slots: transactions sent and total fees received from SNARKs sold.
Below are a few metrics from the testnet challenge displaying the level of activity from participants.
Total Transactions Sent: 2,108
Codas Accrued from SNARKs: 1,530
Protocol reached a throughput of 0.2 TPS (transactions per second), doubling expectations of 0.1 TPS from the first testnet phase
We are excited by the success of the Coda testnet and look forward to mainnet launch!

🔬 DeFi Evaluation Framework
The team at ConsenSys recently put together the DeFi Score, a framework for assessing risk in permissionless lending platforms. The DeFi Score is a single, consistently comparable value for measuring protocol risk, based on factors including smart contract risk, collateralization, and liquidity.
There are several core components to the DeFi Score including smart contract risk, financial risk, and multiple other considerations. The result: an easy-to-understand breakdown of the various risks associated with various lending protocols.
The DeFi Score is absolutely a healthy advancement for the industry.
